Trajan’s Market: At the mall. 2000 years ago.

Trajan’s market is the World’s first known place, which could be compared to a modern day shopping mall. It is still standing in Rome, right besides the Coliseum. In its prime it used to host around 150 shops over several floors. Shopkeepers would display the merchandise from the store front. Customers were not able to walk into the store. Today, Trajan’s market is a museum.
